The Sage Spectrum MAX Fly Fishing Reel is a beefed up version of the standard Sage Spectrum Reel. This is your go-to reel for a full range of heavy duty fishing scenarios. Constructed with cold-forged, tempered 6061-T6 Aluminum and a super-rigid frame-to-spool connection, this is one strong and durable fly reel. Both high quality materials and design contribute to the sturdiness of the reel. The concave, ported arbor offers greater strength and capacity than other reels. The 6061-T6 Aluminum also resists corrosion ensuring years of use and memories. Housed within this fortress of a reel is Sage's proven Sealed Carbon Drag System (SCS). Sage's one revolution drag knob has 40 indented settings for an extremely wide range of tension options. The Spectrum MAX is a vented, large arbor fly reel, which gives you a high retrieval rate when battling a strong fish. The widened palming rim also gives you room for traditional stopping power as well. The Spectrum MAX has a comfortable, ergonomic handle and the reel easily switches from left- to right-handed retrieve. Every Sage Spectrum MAX reel comes with a neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon reel case.
